Creating safe spaces for infant feeding across Aotearoa

He Wāhi Haumaru – A Safe Space to Feed Pēpi is a national health promotion campaign that celebrates and supports all infant feeding journeys, including breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and bottle feeding. The initiative encourages welcoming, inclusive environments where whānau can feed their pēpi with confidence, comfort, and without judgement.

This is a collaboration between the Canterbury Breastfeeding Advocacy Service, Women’s Health Action, and the team behind Breastfeeding NZ. Together, we are working towards an Aotearoa New Zealand where every whānau feels respected, supported, and empowered throughout their infant feeding journey.
